March Happenings

“The Luck of the Irish, High Excitement and No Laughing Matter”

March has shaped up to be a jam packed month at Juniper Village at Mount Joy.

On St. Patty’s Day residents, staff and guests spun the “Wheel of Wonder” to win a prize while donned in their fashionable green attire and then enjoyed the entertainment of Micheal Luckenbill performing Irish folk songs and playing bagpipes. Green beverages, Guinness pork roast and Irish potatoes  were enjoyed by all.

On March 22nd the juggling antics of Chris Ivey thrilled residents and guests following a make-your-own sundae event at our Intergenerational Social.  Children of all ages had ice cream smiles ear to ear!

Lastly, on March 23rd, Kathy Newkirk with Lancaster General Health, presented, “Humor, Laughter and Health: Come Out and Play”.  The presentation focused on humor and the many health benefits we receive from laughing, humor as a means to manage stress and pointers on finding “the funny” in life.
