We are committed

At Juniper we are committed to nurturing the spirit of life in each individual we serve so that they may live fully throughout all seasons of life. To us this means understanding an individual, not only their needs but their desires and responding with programs and services which provide for the highest quality of life possible. Our Alive in All Seasons program of activities is designed to foster healthy bodies, enriched minds and fulfilled spirits. These pictures and stories are living proof that we at Juniper are dedicated to walking our talk!

Readers Theatre

Each day at Juniper Village at Mount Joy the residents are encouraged to maintain an active body, engaged mind and fulfilled spirit. In these pictures you will notice several of our residents acting out their skits while others attend the event to enjoy the show. The residents main focus while reading the skits are their vocal inflection and expression. The residents normally meet every Monday morning to participate in Readers Theatre, led by Megan Sensenig, Connections Assistant. We offer many other programs ranging from our Route 66 walking program, religious programs, picnics, trivia and various outings throughout the community. If you would like to join us in any of our programs, please contact Renee Bevak, Connections Director, at 717-492-9692 for further information.

The Cycle of Life

We are Juniper Communities and like the Juniper tree we are reminded of the cycles of life and the imporance of living life full-to be alive in all seasons of life. Our residents recently had the
opportunity to experience watching the caterpillar's cycle of life as they they transitioned from caterpillar to chrysalis, and finally emerged as a butterfly. This entire process took  approximately three weeks. After they emerged as beautiful butterflies, we released them
into the environment.
